Over the last 40 years, our growing team of experts have worked together with our customers and global network of healthcare suppliers and distributors to ensure we are providing the best solutions and service to the veterinary industry. From our team of engineers producing and sourcing the best equipment, to our clinical team providing the best advice, education and resources, we will continue to strive to be at forefront of diagnostic imaging.

A Legacy of Innovation and Dedication

Over these four decades, we've been at the forefront of innovation. We introduced the first water-resistant, wearable bovine ultrasound scanner with a head-mounted display. We've consistently listened to our customers, making our scanners smaller, lighter, and rugged to withstand the farm, stable, and clinic environments.

2000 > Alan Picken purchases BCF from founder George Bowie

2017 > Both BCF Technology and ECM (Echo Control Medical) merge with the IMV Technologies Group. Together, these innovative and progressive businesses will be better positioned to deliver outstanding imaging products and services to our veterinary and animal clients throughout the world.

Initially founded in Scotland (BCF) and France (ECM), we have now expanded our reach globally as we become an integral part of IMV Technologies growth. We now have offices in the USA, India, China, Italy, and The Netherlands, alongside a network of distributors worldwide.

Veterinary Solutions

On 31st May 2023 IMV Technologies announced the acquisition of Veterinary Solutions, a leading developer of veterinary digital radiography X-Ray (DR X-Ray) systems and veterinary patient archiving and communication system (PACS) software, based in Belgium.

Alain de Lambilly, CEO of IMV Technologies, adds, “Veterinary Solutions is a great business and we are pleased to welcome Lode and his team into the IMV Technologies family. We have been impressed by Veterinary Solutions’ dedication to providing the best products and services to their clients across Europe."

Veterinary Solutions has a reach throughout Europe and under the leadership of Lode Leen, CEO Veterinary Solutions, has developed into one of Europe’s leading providers of veterinary imaging solutions.

Leen comments, “We are delighted to be joining the IMV Technologies Group. This will provide us with the resources and market knowledge to take our business to the next level; IMV Technologies is a natural partnership for us in this exciting and growing market.”

VESCO

On 28th January 2022, IMV Technologies announced the acquisition of VES Custom Optics (VESCO), a leading veterinary endoscopy company based in the United Kingdom.

VESCO will join the companion animal business of IMV imaging, IMV Technologies’ veterinary ultrasound and diagnostic equipment division.

Supplying rigid and flexible endoscopes for small animals and horses in the UK and Ireland, VESCO’s business has grown steadily in the last few years. Paul Duncan, managing director of VESCO, commented, “Joining IMV imaging and the IMV Technologies Group gives us the very best opportunity to provide our customers with the products and services they require. We are natural partners. My team and I are very excited about this next stage of our journey”.
